Privacy Policy

Updated 14 September 2026

This notice explains how Sykes Unlimited handles information when you visit this website or contact us about marketing, content, design and related services.

Who to contact

Sykes Unlimited is responsible for the information you give us through this website. For a privacy question or request, email admin@sykesunlimited.co.uk, call +44 7399 698523 or use our contact form.

Information you give us

Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, subject and message. Your message may include your business, website, project requirements, budget or timescale. Only send information needed to discuss your enquiry. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information through this form.

How your enquiry is used

We use your details to respond, understand your requirements, prepare a proposal and manage any work you agree with us. An enquiry starts a conversation; it does not sign you up to a marketing mailing list.

Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, or we provide services under that contract, this is our basis for the relevant processing. For business enquiries made on behalf of an organisation, our legitimate interest is responding to the enquiry and managing that business relationship. Records may also be needed to meet legal obligations.

Website operation and cookies

Website hosting can involve technical records such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and access times. These support website operation, security and troubleshooting. Technical identifiers can be personal data; we do not treat them as automatically anonymous.

Cookies required for website security, form verification or saving your privacy choice may be used. Optional analytics, where enabled, is controlled separately through your analytics preference. Declining optional analytics does not stop you browsing or sending an enquiry. You can also manage cookies in your browser.

Optional Google Analytics

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics measures page visits, contact-option clicks and form starts. Reports can include browser and device information, approximate location and campaign labels. A click or form start is not treated as a confirmed enquiry. Our event setup does not send the name, email address, subject or message you enter in the form.

The analytics script loads after acceptance. Your choice is saved on this device for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 180 days without automatic extension. Use Analytics settings to change your choice. Declining stops further analytics events from this setup and removes its accessible first-party analytics cookies.

Google processes analytics information and may use infrastructure outside the UK. Read Google’s privacy policy and its data-processing terms for information about its processing and transfer arrangements. Advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in our website tag.

Service providers and external links

Our website hosting and email services process information needed to operate the website and deliver your messages. Where another supplier is needed for agreed client work, the relevant information and arrangements should be confirmed as part of that project.

Links to WhatsApp, social networks and other websites take you to services operated by those providers. Their privacy notices explain how they handle information you give them. A link to a service does not mean this website sends your form message to that service.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on why the information is needed: dealing with your enquiry, delivering agreed work, keeping required business records or handling a dispute. Information should not be kept indefinitely simply because it was collected. Contact us if you want to know which records we hold about you and the retention period or criteria that apply.

Your data rights

Under UK data-protection law, you may ask to access or correct your personal data and, where applicable, request deletion, restriction or transfer. You may also object to certain uses. These rights depend on the circumstances and the lawful basis involved. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Send your request to admin@sykesunlimited.co.uk. We may need information to confirm your identity before releasing personal records. You can raise a concern with us or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when the website or relevant practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Visiting this website does not, by itself, give consent to optional tracking or promotional messages.
